The comparison of the Swiss cantons presents an astonishing picture.
Most crimes are committed in the cities, where GDP is highest: Basel and Geneva . Only the financially strong canton Zug has a high productivity but no major problem with crime.
The strongest population growth is taking place in Zug, Vaud and Valais at the moment. The canton of Aargau is growing disproportionately.
A large proportion of foreigners are recorded in the cantons of Geneva , Basel City and Vaud .
And the lowest unemployment rates are in the cantons of Graubünden , Lucerne and St. Gallen.
If you would like to make an even deeper comparison I recommend the website of the Federal Statistical Office.
